Mom’s the Word: May 2017

Family Favorites

There’s nothing quite like home cooking. Which is why some of our best-loved recipes are the one’s our mom made. With that in mind, Mother’s Day is just around the corner (14th May), so we’re dedicating this month to all things Mom: great food, great times, and the virtues of reconnecting with family over the table. There’s plenty to go round. Reserve a table!

The Mother of Invention

Once upon a time, laying a table was all about knives and forks. But now you’re just as likely to find something much more technical next to your soup spoon: a mobile phone. So this Mother’s Day we don’t just want you to share your food pics. Show us how you’re celebrating with your mom over a meal at Graziano’s.

Using our Twitter (@grazianos_group) and Instagram (grazianosgroup) account, we want you to share as much love as possible, and tell the world just how much your mom means to you. Of course, we can guarantee our food will be memorable, but the smile on her face will be unforgettable.

Check out our restaurants and markets.

Wines of the Month

Malbec Mariflor 2013 by RodolfoVallebella and Michel Roland
Special Price: $21.99

This Malbec makes a bold statement at a great value. From its dark, thick pour to its cool aromas of blackberries, blueberries, amarena cherries, espresso and mint, this wine delivers a rich experience as well as flavor. You can taste the high altitude (3,600 feet) ripeness of the fruit along with acidic notes of cassis and blackberries, with an almost sweet aftertaste of dark cocoa powder and violets. Rounding these flavors off are notes of black pepper, cedar wood, tobacco and oak. From glass to palate, this Malbec doesn’t disappoint.

Mariflor Sauvignon Blanc 2015 by Rodolfo Vallebella and Michel Rolland
Special Price: $19.99

This Sauvignon Blanc is made in the high altitudes of the Uco Valley of Mendoza. It is ripe and fruity in comparison to the mineral acidity you’ll find in a wine typically crafted in classic French regions. Careful harvesting and aging in oak adds to its complexity. With aromas of passion fruit, honeycomb, white flowers and a touch of kiwi and lime, along with the fresh taste of white peach and thyme, this Sauvignon Blanc is great with fish, chicken, pasta dishes, hearty salads or even a cheese empanada!
