Summer is Coming
Sure, it may not technically start until June, but we are already feeling the
heat of summer in South Florida. Come visit us this month to see what
we’ve got sizzling for you.
Call Your Mom
Mother’s Day is May 12th this year, and your mom told us she doesn’t want another scented candle this year, and maybe skip the coffee mug with your picture on it. Show her how much you really love her and take her out to Graziano’s this year. We’ll have specialty cakes just for Mom, and deals
on champagne for the whole familia.
Don’t Forget
May 27th marks Memorial Day, a day of remembrance for the military servicemen and women in the US. Toast to your loved ones with a glass of our wine of the month, and savor that three-day weekend. If you’re grilling (and you are grilling, right?), you’ll be happy to know that we’ll have the vacio (flat meat) on special for Memorial Day.
O, Graziano’s
Last month, we partnered with O, Miami Poetry Festival to bring
you a friendly poetry competition. Thanks to everyone who wrote
a #GrazianOMiami poem, and congrats to all of our winners.
The winning poets each get a $50 to Graziano’s giftcard —

@LARGEJOEL
I come from a place that empanadas do not. As a child, about them,
I gave not a thought. But such folly is youth, I now know a great truth,
and countless of them have I bought.

Wine of the Month
‘Don Quintin Ortega’
Rioja 2010
A Beautiful & Sound Illustration of
How Good a Spanish Rioja Can Be.
Don Quintin Ortega Rioja 2010 is made from 80% Tempranillo vines and 20% Garnacha vines. It is a very refined and meticulously made Rioja with a creamy texture that always stays on the fresh side with its bright and succulent black and red berry flavors.
The stony soils of the La Pedriza vineyards at Finca El Monte are located at an altitude of 680 meters (2.230 ft) and oriented towards the rising sun. The stringent selection of the grapes is followed by a temperature controlled fermentation to extract the maximum amount of color and subtle aromas from the fruit. In the last stage, a 20-day maceration process and malolactic fermentation in French oak is taken over by the final aging of 19 months in American and French oak barrels.
So it is no surprise that this Rioja is a sheer pleasure to drink, with a deep
and beautiful cherry red color, aromas of raspberry, black cherry, leafy redcurrant and also smooth vanilla oak, some violet flowers, licorice and cinnamon. This is a 9 year old complex and structured wine the way you would want a Rioja to show at this age, but with milder tannins and a powerful, long lasting aftertaste. There are also a little old world, dusty cellar, fallen leaves, graphite and pencil tip flavor notes at the end.
This classic and quite impressive Rioja from 2010 is perfect to drink now but can also be aged for the next 3 years. Pairs well with red meats, lamb, game, and mature cheeses, but also with chocolate and desserts.
Screw Corkage.
