¡Feliz Cincuentenario!

Our own Mario and Maria Graziano celebrated their 50th anniversary on September 27th. To mark this very special day, they renewed their vows in front of family at a church in Miami Beach. Salud y felicidades to the once-again-newlyweds!

Trick-or-Treat-Yourself

Our dulce de leche packaging just had an upgrade, but your favorite gooey good stuff is still inside. Drizzle it over your ice cream, layer it in a cake, add some to your latte, or just eat it from the jar like the incredible person you know you are.

Flan-tastic!

National Dessert Day is Wednesday, October 14th. Lucky for you, our menu’s got options. Whether you’re in the mood for Crème Brûlée, Torta Balcarse, Tiramisu, or something with a little more chocolate, your sweet tooth will thank us.

Pasta for Days

National Pasta Day is Saturday, October 17th, and World Pasta Day is Sunday, October 25th. Why not celebrate them both and every single day in between? That way you’ll have enough time to try all of our homemade pasta: Ravioli, Bucatini, Lasagna, Gnocchi, and more.

Pencil It In

Ceci is our new in-house blonde ale, and you’re going to love it. It officially launches soon, so stay tuned to our social media for the exact date if you want to plan your whole week (or month) around it.

Meeting Malbec: Wine of the Month

Around this time of the year, when temperatures drop a little, we start noticing a craving for more substantial, satisfying and altogether bigger wines. At this point, we would like to suggest a ‘meeting’ with the new vintage release of one of Argentina’s finest: the Rutini ‘Encuentro’ Malbec 2018.

The Rutini family has impressive winemaking knowledge, experience and a wonderful portfolio of amazing wines. They are just the right producer to turn to when it comes to great textbook Malbec with the extra horsepower.

Made from 100% high elevation Malbec grapes from family-owned vineyards, the ‘Encuentro’ is created by Rutini’s Mariano Di Paola and the Californian winemaker Paul Hobbs.

The wine has a beautiful and deeply concentrated dark garnet red color with the violet hues, typical of a Malbec. The concentrated aromas of fresh red and black fruit like cherries and cassis are very vibrant and harmonize with the violet floral and herbal notes on the backend. Tannins are firm and silky, slightly sweetened by oak and the lingering aftertaste leaves you with a mix of bitter cocoa and macerated fruit.

The delicious and wonderful acidity in this well made and age-worthy medium to full-bodied red, makes it a great food pairing wine with smoked cold cuts and sausages, all kind of meats from the grill with sea salt and rosemary, rich chicken, rabbit or lamb stews, meat empanadas, or a classical Bolognese Pasta.

Sounds delicious? We certainly think so! Which is why we made it our wine of the month this October. Enjoy!
