WINE OF THE MONTH

Rosé wines may look similar in color, but the variety of flavors within this growing wine category is vast.

For example, Rosé wines from the varietal Garnacha (Spain, South France, and many other places worldwide) typically have watermelon, cucumber, and beeswax flavors. These pair well with salads, tacos, stuffed peppers, chicken kebabs, and various curries.

Rosé from Pinot Noir (France, Northern Italy, Oregon, and worldwide) comes with cherry, orange, lemon zest, watermelon, and celery flavors. They pair very well with thyme-roasted chicken, fish like salmon, shellfish, corn chowder, or a club sandwich.

Sangiovese (Italy, California, and worldwide) produces Rosé wines with sweet cherry flavors, wild strawberries, and spices like clove and cumin, and goes so well with Caprese salad, prosciutto, chicken teriyaki or orange chicken, Thai curries, and sandwiches.

Syrah Blend Rosé wines (Southern France, California, and worldwide) often show flavors of cherry, white pepper, red pepper, and lime zest and pair exceptionally well with vegetable or shellfish pasta dishes, tuna Nicoise salad, and pulled pork sandwiches.

And those are just some of the most popular Rosé wines on our shelves.

Don‘t forget the many amazing and flavorful Malbec Rose and Rosado wines we have and the Sparkling ones that are so much fun.
